  • If an organization non registered as "non-profit" fails to register their raffle with the local sheriff, that group risks paying up to $10,000 in fines and spending five years in jail.

  • In Gainesville - Chicken must be eaten with the hands.

  • In Jonesboro - It is illegal to say "Oh, Boy.

  • In Marietta - Though it is illegal to spit from a car or bus, citizens may spit from a truck.

  • In Quitman - It is illegal for a chicken to cross the road.

  • In Quitman - Cars are not to drive on sidewalks.

  • In Roswell - Erotic dancing is prohibited on Sundays.

  • In Roswell - The flooring of adult bookstores and video stores must be nonabsorbant and smooth textured.

  • In St. Mary's - No spitting on the sidewalk is permitted after dark.

Weird Georgia Law

Drinking was allowed in bars in Atlanta, Georgia in 1969 only if men were wearing suits and ties. Source

OMG - do any of these respondents realize that the blue laws here were enacted 1 or more centuries ago? No, because they're actually commenting on them as if they were true now! I hate stupid people....they make me ill!

You have to live in Georgia to understand why these stupid laws make perfect sense to our idiotic politicians. :woohoo:
